Moving Mountains – Or in This Case, a House: How We’re Making Way for The Enclave at Whitestown
At Davis Homes, our dedication to building communities goes beyond the structures themselves. We’re thrilled to announce that the development of our new addition, The Enclave at Whitestown, is well underway—and we recently completed an extraordinary task to make it happen. Earlier this week, our team moved a fully-built house from one location to another to prepare the land for this brand-new community, marking a major milestone and a testament to our commitment to making visions a reality, no matter the challenges.
Why Move a House?
As we planned out The Enclave at Whitestown, we wanted to honor both our community’s future and its past. The house in question had been a part of the landscape for years, and we knew it was worth preserving and repurposing. Rather than demolishing it, we saw the potential to move it to a new location where it could continue to serve another purpose. So, we took on the task of relocating it—carefully and with purpose.
How It Happened
Relocating a house is a complex process, requiring meticulous planning, teamwork, and expertise. Our team collaborated with the incredible Wolfe House and Building Movers, from navigating permits to securing the structure itself, every detail was accounted for. As the house moved inch-by-inch toward its new location, the excitement grew—and our team’s commitment to excellence shone through.
The journey wasn’t just about moving a building. It was a powerful reminder of what we’re capable of achieving through collaboration and tenacity. This move was a metaphor for how we approach all obstacles: with determination, strategy, and a deep respect for the communities we serve.
