Local builder Davis Homes inspired by Arts & Crafts Movement for Centerpiece design
INDIANAPOLIS (October 17, 2018/Coles Marketing) – Indianapolis Home Show Manager Laura Groninger is pleased to announce that local builder Davis Homes leads a new builder team at the Home Show for the 2019 Centerpiece Home.
Davis Homes is a local, family-owned builder currently building On Your Lot Custom Homes throughout Central Indiana as well as building new homes in numerous custom communities in and surrounding Marion County.
Davis Homes will showcase its Camden floor plan as the Centerpiece Home, which is built entirely inside Exposition Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The two-story, 3,909-square-foot home features a dramatic, open gourmet-style kitchen flowing into an expansive great room with soaring cathedral ceilings. It also includes three bedrooms and 2½ baths, an entertainment area, spacious master suite with cozy sitting area, three-car garage, laundry room with dog wash station and lounge and a Jack and Jill bathroom for the kids’ rooms upstairs.
“We believe building your new home should be easy and affordable,” said Davis Homes President and CEO Brad Davis. “We feel honored to be building the 2019 Centerpiece Home. This opportunity allows Davis Homes to demonstrate the vibrant living spaces and dramatic home exteriors available to today’s discerning home buyer. Davis Homes is proud to bring affordable luxury to Central Indiana, both within our own communities or on your own lot.”
The Centerpiece Home will have a Modern Craftsman elevation with interior design by Shelby Rouse from Luxe Home Interiors, a locally-owned, full-service furniture showroom and interior design boutique specializing in interior design, custom furniture, rugs, art and window treatments.
“My inspiration for this home was the Arts & Crafts Movement, which is focused on the combination of hand-crafted tradition and modern design,” Rouse said. “Wood beams and joints of the home will be deliberately exposed so Home Show attendees can see how things are crafted and built throughout the Centerpiece Home. Soothing hues of the landscape, including muted greens, browns and deep golds, will be used, accented by flower window boxes, giving a warm and textural feel.”
Landscaping for the Centerpiece Home comes courtesy of Calvin Landscape in Indianapolis.
“Home Show visitors are going to see a ton of color for a bright, fun landscaping feel for this year’s Centerpiece Home,” said Jim Calvin. “As people move from inside the home to the outside patio area, they’ll step into a backyard retreat complete with a fire pit, island bar and, of course, a pool.”
“The whole builder team has put a lot of hard work and thought into the initial planning and production of the Centerpiece Home,” Groninger said. “From research into the Arts & Crafts Movement down to the selection of unique materials and colors to differentiate and inspire, this home is going to be both useful and beautiful. The energy and creativity they bring to the project is exciting, and I know the final product is going to be fabulous.”
The 2019 Indianapolis Home Show opens Friday, Jan. 18, and continues through Sunday, Jan. 27. Admission is $14 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Deals: $2 off tickets purchased online and free admission for children 5 and younger.
