Meghan and her puppy Mooshu recently invited us to their home built by Davis Homes in Fortville, IN. We are thrilled to share their building story with you!
Meghan decided to build her dream home in Fortville, IN. She liked that she could build a new home in a quaint community with old town charm. And, she loves the walkability from the neighborhood to Fortville’s Main Street.
A few of her favorite local dining options are 305 Wine Garage, Taxman Brewing Co., Foxgardin, Los Maguelles, Bonsai, Mozzi’s Pizza (her all-time favorite pizza) and Sunrise Bakery.
Some of her favorite local shops include Gathered-Roots and Francis & Fern.
Meghan and Mooshu both love having walking trails and a dog park behind their neighborhood.
For the exterior of her home…
Meghan chose the same paint color as the paint color used on the exterior of the Davis Homes Centerpiece Home at the 2020 Indianapolis Home Show (Sherwin-Williams Worldly Gray).
The interior of her home has an urban contemporary feel with a touch of farmhouse.
All of the interior walls are painted a neutral color (Sherwin-Williams Repose Gray).
And, the interior doors and exterior of her front door are painted the 2021 Color of the Year (Sherwin-Williams Urbane Bronze).
For her kitchen, Meghan chose Aristokraft cabiniets in Glacier Gray for the perimeter and in a Burlap stain for the island. She opted for Silestone quartz countertops in Calacatta Gold.
She chose luxury vinyl plank flooring in a farmhouse color (Aqualok – Woodland Fawn). She loves how durable and easy to clean they are. And, that they are waterproof!
Meghan went with mixed metals for lighting, appliances, cabinet hardware, her farmhouse sink and faucet.
She opted for a classic white subway tile backsplash. And, added a cabinet hide her microwave, which sits on the counter to the right of her utensils holder.
Upstairs, she has a loft, perfect for working from home.
And, 4 bedrooms.
She added a border with a fun print to the tray ceiling in her bedroom.
Meghan’s absolute favorite part of her home is her luxurious bathroom with a freestanding tub and a walk-in shower.
We’d like to thank Meghan and Mooshu for welcoming us into their home and sharing their Davis Homes building story with us. And, we hope they enjoy sharing their home with family and friends for years to come.
